Arizona Assassins Women’s Football Team Routs San Diego Sting for Second Time PHOENIX – The Arizona Assassins of the Women’s Football Alliance overpowered an undermanned San Diego Sting at home by a score of 42-0 on May 8. Arizona defeated San Diego in another dominating performance for the second matchup between the two teams in two weeks. The combined scores of the two games is 94-0. The Assassins’ regular-season won-loss record improved to 2 – 2. The Assassins’ defense set the tone early by forcing a safety on the Sting’s first possession of the game. The defense added an 84-yard interception returned for a touchdown. The Assassins’ offense dominated with one passing and two rushing touchdowns. The Assassins are looking to avenge themselves against 4-0 Las Vegas where they travel to face the Showgirlz May 15. The first meeting resulted in a disappointing 26-6 loss. The Assassins will have a more competitive mindset in the upcoming second meeting with Las Vegas. Fans can travel with the team to the Las Vegas game on May 15 to support the team.
